Federal Member for Maquarie, Susan Templeman has invited Hawkesbury residents to sign up for her eNews bulletin.
“I started publishing my eNews bulletin following the devastating 2019 bushfires and the onset of Covid in 2020,” Ms Templeman said.
“The electorate of Macquarie is 4,000 square kilometres, and I wanted people to have timely access to information they might need.”
Hawkesbury, and the whole Macquarie electorate, has endured lockdowns and multiple floods since Ms Templeman began her eNews bulletin.
“Not everyone is on social media or reads the newspaper, and the eNews was one more way we could ensure people could access relevant contacts for services without having to leave home,” Ms Templeman said.
“The response from the community to the bulletins has been very positive, and now I publish an eNews bulletin once every six weeks or so.
“One of my jobs as an MP is to keep local residents informed about services available to them, and it’s a good way for me to get community business and grants news out to people across the electorate.”
You can sign up to receive future eNews bulletins on Ms Templeman’s website: https://susantempleman.com.au/have-your-say/sign-up-to-my-community-newsletter/
