Super Swap Meet Goes Off With A Bang
Last weekend’s Sydney Swap Meet was another huge success from the Richmond Rotary.
Despite a little rain the night before, the Sydney Swap Meet organised by the Rotary Club of Richmond has been hailed a huge success.
Rotarian Phil Bowen said that while it was impossible to please everyone at an event of this size, the Meet was a huge success.
“We were a little bit down on the vendors and crowd - about five per cent on last year,” Mr Bowen said.
“With all the rain in Sydney, we kept on getting calls to see if the event was going ahead, even in the morning.”
All in all, it was a great day out with loads of car, tractor and motorbike parts, model toys and bric-a-brac for people to search through.
It was another event not to be missed by Rotary Richmond.
As usual, the Rotarians cleaned up the venue afterwards, leaving it in a state that made the Showground Committee happy.
There is never a dull moment for Richmond Rotary, they have now turned their efforts towards the Hawkesbury Show that is just around the corner.
