Remembrance Day 2

Join Richmond RSL Sub-branch to commemorate Remembrance Day at Richmond War Memorial on Monday, November 11.

Richmond RSL Sub-branch will commemorate Remembrance Day with a service and wreath-laying ceremony at Richmond War Memorial in Richmond Park from 10:55 am on Monday, November 11.

Community members are invited to participate in the solemn occasion, assembling adjacent to the war memorial by 10:40 am.

Richmond RSL Sub-branch encouraged the local community to take the time to reflect on the service of the District’s veterans and serving military personnel and to appreciate the peace they have safeguarded through their service and sacrifice.

Community leaders and representatives from Legacy, War Widows, Torchbearers, RAAF Richmond, National Servicemen’s Association, the Richmond Club and local schools will also commemorate the service of current and former military personnel, and lay wreaths in their honour.

The Sub-branch’s members will invite community members to lay their private wreaths on the war memorial.

Covered seating will be provided for the community’s veterans and older community members. Richmond Park is situated at the corner of East Market and March Streets, Richmond.
