Residents Urged To Take Part In Resilience Plan

If the last couple of years has taught us anything, it is that Hawkesbury needs to be resilient.

Hawkesbury City Council is developing a resiliency plan and wants your input.

Residents are invited to attend a community workshop to be held on Thursday, April 20 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.

It will take place at Windsor RSL at 36 Argyle Street, South Windsor. Spaces are limited, so you need to register by emailing hubs@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au or phoning 4560 4444 and asking for Donna Keogh.

To allow as many people as possible an opportunity to have input, there will be a couple of face-to-face pop-up consultations as well.

So, if you have any ideas about resilience that might help Council ensure that Hawkesbury becomes a more connected community that is better prepared for emergencies and change, consider going along.

The first pop-up consultation will take place on Tuesday, April 11 from 10 am to 1 pm at St Albans Park Launch, St Albans.

This will be followed by a consultation at Richmond Marketplace Shopping Centre on 78 March Street between 10 am and 12 noon and Windsor Review Shopping Centre on 227 George Street from 2 pm to 4 pm on Saturday, April 22.

The development of our resiliency plan is a Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience Fund Project through the joint Commonwealth/State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
