What better time to nominate a volunteer for the 2023 Volunteer of the Year Award than during National Volunteer Week, May 15 to 21?
This year’s theme is The Change Makers, and they may rarely venture into the limelight, simply going about their business of doing good People are urged to help recognise the contributions dedicated volunteers make to their community.
All nominees must:
- Be a volunteer in NSW, a practice defined as time willingly given for the common good and without financial gain; and
- Have volunteered during the previous 12 months for a legitimate not-for-profit organisation, community group, or other entity which engages volunteers in a safe and legal manner, such as schools or government agencies.
You may also nominate your local volunteer or volunteer team for inclusion in the final judging for a Regional and State Volunteer of the Year Award.
This nomination consists of three extra questions on the nomination form.
All parts must be completed to be accepted by the judging committee. Volunteers and volunteer managers are not permitted to nominate themselves.
All nominators must have permission from the person or team they are nominating to disclose their personal information as part of their entry.
