Nominations for the 2023 Hidden Treasures Honour Roll, recognising the important volunteer contribution women make to regional, rural and remote communities in NSW, are now open.
Residents of Griffith and surrounding areas are urged to nominate female volunteers who continue to make a difference to their local community. Volunteers make an enormous contribution to the everyday life in regional towns in so many ways, from sporting clubs and school committees to food halls and local service organisations.
The Hidden Treasures Honour Roll is a special way to recognise and thank those female volunteers who are often working diligently behind the scenes.
In the 2021/22 round, Sister Patricia Johnson and Emily May from Griffith, Penny Black from Rankins Springs and Sue Inglis from Coleambally were each recognised for their contributions to their communities.
They join over 1100 women recognised since 2010 for the time and energy they have put in to help others in regional, rural and remote communities.
