Messy Makers Are All About Learning Through Play

Messy-Play

Messy Makers makes learning child’s play.

Play can be a messy business, but it can also be one of the best ways for your young child to learn about the world around them.

Messy Makers runs messy and sensory play sessions twice a week at Lynwood Country Club for Hawkesbury’s under 5s.

While these sessions are absolutely free, only members of Lynwood Country Club are able to attend the sessions due to the Club’s rules. However, people can join on the day for a very low cost.

Messy Makers will be at Riverview Shopping Centre in Windsor and Elara Village Shopping Centre in Marsden Park for school-aged children during the upcoming school holidays.

This unique business was founded in 2019 by a young woman, Amy, and her husband in Sydney’s North West to take the mess out of play - not for the kids, but for their parents.

That means the children still get to make a mess, but their parents don’t have to clean it up.

We all know children love to play and we know the importance of play in a child’s life, but the constant thought of having to clean up afterwards can be exhausting, according to mother and Messy Makers founder, Amy.

“At Messy Makers, we take care of the cleaning so you can focus on creating memories with your little ones,” Amy said.

“You can probably name all the main senses - sight, sound, taste, touch and smell, but do you know why they’re so vital and why they’re even more important for children as they grow?

“It helps to build nerve connections in the brain and encourages the development of language and motor skills.

“Messy Makers are all about learning and what better way to learn than through play?” Messy Makers runs weekly themed sessions right across Sydney and the Central Coast.

From a small local family-owned start-up business in August 2019 the business now offers franchise opportunities.

It is anticipated that Messy Makers will soon be in more locations across NSW and Australia soon.
