Meet The Council Candidates

The Windsor Business Group invites Hawkesbury residents to attend a Meet the Candidates event for the upcoming local council election.

As voting in elections is compulsory, whether Federal, State or Local, it is important that people have a chance to meet the people they will have to vote for.

Meet the Candidates will be held on Sunday, August 25 at 11 am for an 11:30 am start, at Windsor Bowling and Sports Club, George Street in Windsor.

A light lunch will be provided.

The event will give each candidate the same opportunity to introduce themselves and their platform, if elected.

No political party or independent candidate will be given any more favour than another.

They will each have five minutes to present, with a random draw for order of speaking.

Windsor Business Group’s motto is “Community Builds Business Builds Community”.

The aim is to provide the local community with this opportunity to promote an educated vote.

The Council is an important part of our local community.

We all rely on it and need it, no matter which party/group is part of the mix.

This is intended as a non-partisan event and the Windsor Business Group hopes for positive input from the candidates as to their vision for the Hawkesbury, presenting their solutions rather than simply attacking the current Council.
