Each year, the wider Gymnastics community of NSW across all gymsports gather together to celebrate the outstanding achievements of clubs and coaches from the previous year. This year on the 9th February, we all swapped our gym gear for our finest cocktail attire, and met at the spectacular Daltone house for this year’s proceedings. It was a beautiful day in Sydney where over 600 people recapped and highlighted all of the stand out achievements in NSW from 2024.
It’s always an honour and thrill to be nominated and this year as a club we had 16 nominations within trampoline and tumbling gymnastics.
We'd like to congratulate all our athlete finalists on their competition season and nominations. Ultimately, the winners were:
- Isaac Kachan- National Stream Athlete of the Year
- Alexsa Kachan- Junior International Tumbling Athlete of the Year
- Ethan McGuinness- Senior International Tumbling Athlete of the Year.
As a club we were also fortunate enough to win both coaching categories in Trampoline Gymnastics, something we have never done before and are very proud of.
- Levels Coaching Team of the Year &
- International Coaching Team of the Year
This encompasses our entire competitive body and is a true testament to our coaches and their commitment to our athletes.
These awards and recognition have given us a great start to the 2025 season. The calendar is once again packed with State, National and International events. Following an Olympic year also has our disciplines biggest event, The World Games which is to be held in China in August. Australia has qualified positions in both male and female senior tumbling, but as to who will take out those spots and compete at World Games is yet to be decided. Ultimately selectors will look at the results from the NSW Senior State Championships in May and performances at the Australian Championships in July before making their decision.
KSTP also have the Overall Club Champion titles to defend at the NSW Intermediate State Championships in August and National Clubs Carnival in September to defend, so our entire team is excited to get the 2025 comp season underway.
