Ivy Avenue Park at McGraths Hill has had a major overhaul and is up and ready to welcome fun-lovers of all ages to the new playground.

The official opening of the upgraded Ivy Avenue Park at McGraths Hill is scheduled for Wednesday, June 21.

That doesn’t mean you have to wait before enjoying the significant improvements for yourself right now.

Upgrades include traditional swings with net, a hammock swing with a shade sail, a climbing fort with slide, a spiderweb climbing net, spinner and rocker, softfall and new walking paths.

The park even boasts new turf and landscaping. So, there is plenty to enjoy before the official opening.

Of course, you should definitely come out for the official celebration. Double Ristretto will be on hand to supply free coffee and hot drinks and Bite Me Donuts is offering free donuts to the first 100 people.

Nat’s FancyFaces FAce Painting Sydney will also be at the park for all those kids who love to have their faces painted - free of charge.

The exciting playground upgrade was listed in Council’s 2022-2023 Operational Plan, with residents given the opportunity to choose one of three available designs for the community.

The winning option was announced on Council’s Facebook page on December 18, 2022.

If you’re new to the area, Ivy Avenue Playground is located at the corner of Pitt Town Road and Ivy Avenue.
