Hills Hornets U14 Boys Earn Place At Australian U14 Club Championships
The Hills Hornets U14 Boys premier team is elated to learn they have a chance to play against other top teams in the country at the Australian U14 Club Championships in Victoria next month.
Well, they earned their place in the annual Australian U14 Club Championships in Victoria’s Cranboarne from September 24 to 29.
Only the top 24 boys and girls teams from across the country participate in this tournament each year and entry is based on performance.
That is 24 teams from a pool of over 80 teams of the same age. All they need now is a little financial help to get them there, so what they need is you.
The team includes boys from Kurrajong, Bligh Park, Baulkam Hills, Rouse Hill, Penrith and Blacktown, so they’re local.
There are only two teams in NSW that qualified for the Championships and the Hills Hornets is one of them.
This tournament is the benchmark for basketball and the boys are super excited.
The boys will host a trivia night on Saturday, August 12 as well as a Bunnings barbecue to try to raise funds for the trip, so please consider donating a gift for the Trvia night and grabbing a sausage to help them achieve their goal.
Alternatively, if there are any individuals or businesses out there who would like to help out, please contact the club via its social media platforms:
