U14 Girls Hawkesbury Jets
It’s all excitement for the Hawkesbury Jets this season, with two of their teams heading to the Junior Metro grand final in a couple of weeks.
The Under 18s boys team remained undefeated this season, continuing their winning streak against St George White - 90 to 65 - on the weekend.

The Under 14s girls will join the boys after an impressive season run, culminating in their hard-fought victory over Sutherland - 42 to 39.
Jets Secretary, Vicki O’Toole said
Under 12 girls didn’t get a win over the weekend, but they earned an invitation to compete in the State Cup.
Jets secretary, Vicki O’Toole said they were a relatively small association, so their success was all the sweeter.
“We didn’t have any drop off in kids who wanted to play this season,” O’Toole said.
“We have plenty of kids keen to play.
“I’m very excited about our girls.
“The Women in Sports Program is a very big thing in sport at the moment, and we have a great women’s program.“
The association runs a comp year round, from ages 5 years to open, the winter comp through terms 2 and 3 and the summer comp through terms 4 and 1.
Between competitions they conduct skills programs.
The Jets also have walking basketball for those looking for a lower impact game and a special needs comp.
“For a little association we have a lot going on,” O’Toole said.
“We operate out of Hawkesbury PCYC, it’s a great partnership for us.”
Summer comp teams will be organised soon, so if you are looking for a team get on the website and register.
