It was business as usual for more than 700 staff who are continuing to deliver world-class innovative health care to the region from their base in Windsor.

Newly appointed Hawkesbury District Hospital General Manager, Bethany Pade thanked the staff for their cooperation throughout the transition and assured the community their local hospital would continue to provide high-quality, safe and compassionate health care.

“I’d like to acknowledge the tremendous efforts of staff these past few months as they have navigated the transition,” Ms Pade said.

“Their loyalty and commitment to serving the community has shone brightly as they’ve continued to deliver the highest levels of care to their patients while learning new systems.

“It’s really a true testament of their characters.”

For the past eight years, St John of God Health Care has provided compassionate health care to the Hawkesbury region.

“On behalf of Nepean Blue MOuntains Local Health District, I’d like to thank the St John of God Health Care team and outgoing CEO, Stephen Billinghurst for their dedication to the people of Hawkesbury,” Ms Pade said.

“NBMLHD is proud to be part of the long history of delivering local health care,” Ms Pade said.

“The Hawkesbury District Hospital of today can trace its history backk to 1820, and as General Manager, I look forward to working with staff and the community to ensure great care continues to be provided long into the future.”

Hawkesbury District Hospital will continue to provide existing services to its community including 24-hour emergency medicine, operating theatre, community health services and outpatient clinics.
