Hawkesbury Council Making Over Parks and Playgrounds
There are three design options available for residents to choose from, so visit http://www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au/cr and choose the Colonial Reserve Bligh Park you’d like to see become reality.
Another Hawkesbury playground is set to be given a makeover by the Hawkesbury Council. A fun new $200,000 playground will be built at Colonial Reserve, utilising the existing water tank.
Each of the designs was created with Bligh Park’s families in mind, with an aim to provide an active and fun space for children of all ages and all abilities. The new playground will be built next to the existing amenities building fronting Colonial Drive, replacing the old playground on Neptune Street.
Three options have been designed and residents are being asked to choose the design they want to see implemented.
You can vote for your favourite design at http://www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au/cr.
Voting closes Thursday, June 24, with construction commencing soon after. There are also plans to upgrade parks and playgrounds in Pitt Town, Colo Heights, Bilpin and St Alban’s.
Plans for Fernadell Park in Pitt Town include two full-size football fields, a full-size cricket pitch, two netball courts and a multipurpose sports court as well as a large playground and community and event spaces.
There are also plans for a youth space, outdoor gym, lake deck, training pitch, picnic shelters and barbecues, a fenced dog off-leash area, around 140 dedicated car parking spaces and public amenities. You can have a say at http://www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au.
