Gig Buddies Calling For Male Volunteers
Gig Buddies is all about finding mates for adults with mild to moderate learning difficulties or autism to help tackle social isolation.
In the lead up to father’s day, Gig Buddies are reaching out to the Hawkesbury community in search of more male volunteers.
They’re calling on brothers, dads, uncles, nephews, sons and granddads who have a zest for life and would be keen on helping them tackle social isolation for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities or autism.
They are specifically looking for volunteers in the Hawkesbury and surrounding areas.
Gig Buddies volunteers are not support care workers and will receive whatever training they require as well as ongoing support.
Basically, once a month for at least 12 months, volunteers and their buddy will go to an event, activity or just catch up.
Activities are chosen by both volunteer and buddy, something you’d both enjoy attending or doing.
If you, or someone you know, would make a great fit, get in touch.
