Funding Opportunities Abound For Art And Culture If People Act Now
Applications for funding opportunities through Create NSW and Australia Council for the Arts will close soon.
Arts and cultural workers, groups and organisations located in the Hawkesbury could benefit from a number of funding opportunities specifically designed for them. Grants from $500 to $520,000 are currently available through Create NSW and Australia Council for the Arts.
The current grant opportunities include:
- Individual Funding
- Creative Koori Projects
- Organisation Funding
- Australia Council for the Arts EOI for Four Year Investment for Organisations
- Regional Arts Touring
- Arts Projects - Organisations
- Arts Projects - Individuals and Groups
These opportunities, including the Creative Koori Projects - Arts and Cultural Funding Program 2023 close on February 13, so if you intend applying you need to do so now.
This opportunity is only open to Aboriginal artists, arts and cultural workers, groups and organisations.
The grant aims to support a strong, resilient and creative Aboriginal arts and cultural sector for NSW by embracing the principles of Aboriginal self-determination and putting Aboriginal artists, arts and cultural workers, organisations and communities at the centre of funded activity.
The funding may be requested for a range of arts and cultural activites including, but not limited to:
- Creative development;
- Public presentation;
- Commissioning professional artists;
- Community collaborations/partnerships
- Research and/or development;
- Audience engagement.
