Drive Safe Australia Day

Double demerits will be enforced from Friday the 22nd until Tuesday the 26th of January as Australia Day will see more cars out and about.

Speeding, mobile phone use, not wearing a seatbelt, or not wearing a motorcycle helmet will incite a double point infringement penalty. Police will be on the lookout for speeding drivers, and performing random drug and alcohol testing. Larger penalties and possible loss of licence will be the consequences for motor users failing to abide by safe driving laws. Stay safe, drive safe.
