Cycleway From Kurrajong To Kurmond Gets Green Light
Funding will see an off-road shared path along Bells Line of Road between Kurrajong.
Work on the cycleway between Kurrajong to Kurmond will go ahead thanks to $4.548 million to undertake treatment works and construct an off-road shared path spanning 1.75 kilometres beside Bells Line of Road.
The aim of the project is to expand the existing cycleway from North Richmond giving residents further opportunities to choose active transport where the wind can ruffle their hair as they ride or walk through the region.
The work will complete a continuous off-road link between Kurrajong and North Richmond and support the community goal to increase active transport.
Its design and construction will also encourage recreational use by residents and tourists.
This project is one of nine WestInvest projects in the Hawkesbury region, worth close to $98 million.
