Christmas Message From Robyn Preston, MP
We have reached the festive season and as we come together in this time of celebration, I would like to acknowledge the very busy year that has been 2022.
As we emerged from COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns, there has been a lot of catching up to do.
This year has been filled with weddings, family reunions and celebrations that were postponed over the course of the pandemic and I hope the joy of these occasions has helped ease the pain caused by isolation and separation from your loved ones.
I commend the Hawkesbury community on your incredible resilience as you navigated life’s challenges while returning to a post-COVID world.
Wild storms and flooding devastated the region on multiple occasions this year but every time, locals were able to lean on each other and neighbour-helped-neighbour to pick up the pieces.
How you weather the storms says a lot about a community.
The warmth and generosity that I saw throughout Hawkesbury during the challenges that residents were faced with were very inspiring and you should all be proud of the great strength you have shown.
The Hawkesbury community is one I am very proud to represent and I thank you all for your support and for working together with the NSW Government.
The Christmas season is a time for joy and celebrating with the people we love.
After a tough year, I wish peace and unity to all and that we may all look forward to the next year with great hope.
May you and your families have a very safe and Merry Christmas and I wish you many happy returns in the New Year.
