Head over to Richmond Park on Wednesday, September 4 to celebrate National Child Protection Week.

Child Youth and Family Interagency has invited residents to join them at Richmond Park on Wednesday, September 4 for National Child Protection Week.

Between 10 am and 12 noon, this fantastic event will be filled with free activities, including sensory play, creative (crafts) play, sports, puzzles, exploring books and games.

It is an opportunity to come together to celebrate and support local families.

This event is designed for families and individuals to make and strengthen community connections that will support families.

National Child Protection Week, held from September 1 to 7, helps raise awareness of child abuse prevention and promote a safe and supported life for every child.

This year’s theme is “every child, in every community needs a fair go”.

Activities held within National Child Protection Week aim to engage, educate and empower Aussies to understand the complexity of child abuse and neglect and to highlight how everyone can work together to prevent it.
