Classical masterworks by Beethoven, Andre and Mozart will be played with freshness and verve at the Young Mannheim Symphonists NSW State Academy Concert in Sydney tomorrow, Saturday, October 5 at 3:30 pm.

Inspired and mentored by the Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra, YMS is Australia’s only national youth orchestra experience for historically informed performance (HIP).

It’s a perfect classical concert for families, teens and community, held in the gorgeous acoustics of Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatorium.

The 2024 Young Mannheim Symphonists will be conducted by Rachael Beesley as they play their way through:

  • Andre Symphony in E flat major, 2nd movt;
  • Mozart Symphony No 30 in E flat major, K 543, 3rd movt; and
  • Beethoven Symphony No 2 in D major, Op 36.
